The Run4Fun is 10km fun run thats purpose is raise vital funds for sick kids in NSW through the three children’s hospitals: The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick and John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle.

More than 10,000 runners are expected to run the 10km classic course that will appeal to athletes of all levels.

In 2009 the Run4Fun raised $90,000 and they are looking to improve on that this year.

Evoking memories of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, participants will experience the spectacular journey through the ‘tunnel of champions’ on to the turf of ANZ Stadium with a 100 metre finish straight.

So if you love running, or want a goal to aim for sign up and help a charity as well as yourself along the way.

Other charities are also welcome to use this event to raise money via website “Everyday Hero” http://www.everydayhero.com.au/ which is an online platform that any charity can use to allow people to raise money, people can for example by getting sponsored $1 per km they run. This way you get to benefit additional charities as well as the kids hospitals.[This is also available for the City to Surf]

This year there is also a wheel chair category and 15 year old Declan Young of Wagga Wagga is super excited about competing, and like many Aussies spurred on by Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Kurt Fearnle,who astounds everyone with his amazing feats.

Runners, walkers and joggers are all encouraged to join in the fun of a healthy, family-friendly event with over $10,000 worth of prizes on offer.

Entry fee inclusive of postage and handling of race packs.

October 14 –close Adult (16+) $46 Child (Under 16) $36 Under 5 $5
